Welcome
Thank you for visiting my personal site dedicated to all things, Leo Howlite, my main character I've portrayed since 2015 in the critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV Online. Throughout my journey, this site has represented past reflections, present adventures, and future aspirations remaining to be explored.
White Mage
Since beginning my journey back in A Realm Reborn, I have dedicated my time to learning the craft of white magick and continue to play it as my favorite job for both healing and the Main Scenario Quests.

Red Mage
Although I did not start actively playing Red Mage upon its release in Stormblood, I soon began developing an affinity for it halfway through Shadowbringers.
Free Company
I am a proud member of Host Eorzea, a free company based on Faerie in The Lavender Beds.Dedicated to close connections, various ongoing and original events, current content, and regular voice interaction, I help manage Host Eorzea as a junior leader that focuses on estate hall interior design and Discord server administration.

Howlite the White

Healer Favorite: White Mage
Other Healer Priority: Sage ⟶ Astrologian ⟶ Scholar
Despite the bad reputation White Mage often receives from its overly simplistic rotation, I've always enjoyed its aesthetic and raw heal potency. It's always personally felt the most comfortable of all the healers to me and never seems to let me down in a tight spot. Even though it may suffer in mobility, it has garnered several new adjustments that allow it to shine better than ever before. I believe the job is one of those where it's "easy to learn" but "hard to master," and I really appreciate that aspect.

Visions from the Lifestream
As a White Mage, I began honing my skills enough that I was invited (and cleared) my first savage content in Eden's Gate: Sepulture (E4S) and later flexed roles for my first savage static in Eden's Promise: Umbra (E9S) and Eden's Promise: Litany (E10S).
Interestingly enough, I played Astrologian when I started my first static savage group back in Shadowbringers.
Leo Howlite as Astrologian
Sharpening my talents in white magicks has also led me to become flexible in other healer types. While I feel confident to an extent in all healer jobs, Sage has stood out to me the most after White Mage. These days when I'm in the mood for switching things up a bit, I'll sometimes queue as an Astrologian or Scholar in normal, hard, or unsynced extreme content.
Howlite the Red

DPS Favorites: Red Mage ➜ Bard ➜ Dancer ➜ Pictomancer
Ranged DPS Priority: Black Mage ➜ Machinist ➜ Summoner ➜ Blue Mage
Melee DPS Priority: Viper ➜ Reaper ➜ Samurai ➜ Ninja ➜ Monk ➜ Dragoon ➜ Blue Mage
As Red Mage was announced during its release in Stormblood, I really loved the concept art. Though you'd never guess despite it now being my favorite DPS job, I originally had a bit of a distaste for understanding its rotation. In the beginning, it felt a bit wonky to understand when and where certain combos should be utilized for single targets versus multi-targets, and it also had me feeling like I couldn't understand the balancing act of its gauge and the "spending" cost necessary to use such actions in succession for a full finisher combo. However, soon enough with the help of a friend, I was able to formulate a better understanding of Red Mage.I began to realize why it was such a popular choice upon its release, and why it still holds its own to this day in value. Its versatility in both casting from a distance and using its melee and spell combo finisher—as well as having many utility factors— led me to enjoy its comfortability and desirability in copious settings. It wasn't before long that I grew quite fond of it and since mid-Shadowbringers, I haven't looked back since.
Savage Raiding as
White Mage & Red Mage

With this newfound excitement and contentment, I began to take an interest in perfecting my craft in red magicks about two-thirds the way into Shadowbringers. My first experience in a savage setting was Eden's Gate: Sepulture (E4S).Despite being an Astrologian for my first "casual" savage static and subsequently flexing to White Mage when necessary, I later joined a new static and began dipping my toes in the content as a Red Mage. I began with Eden's Promise: Anamorphosis (E11S) and then proceeded to Eden's Promise: Eternity (E12S).Following suit after finding yet another casual group, I also took part in both Asphodelos: The First Circle (P1S) and Asphodelos: The Second Circle (P2S).I continued onto the next raid tier, Abyssos, with a new midcore group. I continued to enjoy the content as a Red Mage. We progressed all the way through the second phase of The Eighth Circle (P8S), marking it the first time I had ever cleared an entire raid tier! When the Anabaseios tier released, I joined yet another casual static and progressed all the way to the second phase of The Twelfth Circle (P12S) with Red Mage. Sadly due to the structure of the group setting and time constraints, we did not clear phase two. With Dawntrail's release of The Arcadion's first tier, some close friends and I had attempted to formulate our own static. However, due to scheduling, it wasn't meant to be.

While I wasn't able to find a group in time for the first tier of the Ascension Arcadia Championship (AAC, aka The Arcadion), I did manage to find a group through Party Finder where I was able to clear the first floor of the tier, AAC: Cruiserweight M1 (M5S).
It was no doubt the most enjoyable fight I've ever gotten to experience in a savage setting! I really enjoyed the way the devs synced the music with the mechanics through the bosses groovy disco-themed dancing. What a fun and refreshing fight! Very visually and audibly entertaining, and it never felt cluttered on-screen. A wholesome experience to say the least!Although I continued onward with two newer groups later for varying reasons, we were not able to complete M6S. Many of our members felt burnt out by the infamous "Yan add phase" situation, and we unanimously decided it was no longer enjoyable for any of us. As a result, we disbanded for the remaining tier.As for now, I'm content with taking a break from savage fights. I find myself enjoying harder content with a close group of friends rather than randoms.
When I cleared the entire Abyssos tier back in Endwalker, it was one of the proudest accomplishments I've felt in a while. It proved that I was able to complete a full tier and work with like-minded individuals with the same end-goal in mind. Professionalism came first, and it reflected in my above-average parses.
When I first cleared M5S, I beat all of my previous parse records. I was over the moon about it, because I had proven to myself that I had grown as a raider, and that's all I ever truly wanted. My hope is that someday in the future, I can continue challenging myself in harder content with great folks alongside me.

During the summer of 2019, a close group of friends and I decided to make a free company of our own. One of my friends and I were in several separate free companies until we tried a couple together. For the longest time, it seemed that none of them worked out much to our liking. We decided it could be a fun idea to try and formulate our own as a result.Initially, I did not meet the prerequisite requirements to form a free company (I believe it was due to my grand company rank not being high enough at the time). So we had one of our friends—Lanuaria Greyhame—be the contractual leader temporarily in order to form the guild. Among the founding leaders were Seiya Solainteau, Raziel Dantalion, and myself—Leo Howlite.
I led Skyward Dawn after the registration was initiated from May 31, 2019 to January 10, 2025, when I resigned and handed leadership over to Seiya.
